July 23th saw the Wedding of Susan and Steve, just outside Garstang in a lovely village called Churchtown. They had chosen to get married in St Helen’s Church, Churchtown and I have to say it is a gorgeous building and the staff could not have been more helpful with access to photograph.
It was a perfect July day, stunning weather and warm but not too hot as I was wearing a Tuxedo along with most of the other male day guests. My day started at the Brides mum’s house where the Bridesmaids were being prepped. In all there were seven Bridesmaids and twelve Page Boys so it was busy !
All went well and I decamped to the church to await the Brides arrival and met up with the Groom and his men. Fellow Wedding Professional David Lamb from Lakeland Productions was creating the Wedding Movie so we also had a quick meeting to go over the plan of action. We both respect each others work so tend to work together to achieve each others goals and this reflects in the finished product.
A wonderful service was followed by one of the Bride and Grooms son’s playing a Solo on his Coronet, he brought the house down !
It was soon over and we drove the short distance to the reception venue, The Barn at Scorton – wow, that place is a hidden gem and well worth a visit if you are passing, it is actually a Garden Centre, Tea Rooms and Gift Shop but also holds some private functions throughout the year. It was just perfect, a wonderful venue !
It really was a fantastic day and the party was still going strong when I left about 11pm, fun, fun, fun was the order of the day and it was exactly that !
